Kathryn F. Hoxie, , KFHox, a Bronxite by way of Rhode Island and Florida, is a singer, writer, and actor. In the month of April 2011, she successfully raised $5,155 in 32 days through Kickstarter to record her first EP, "Light Shines Through Me." On November 11th (11.11.11), she single-handledly organized her EP Release Party at Remedies in the Bronx featuring over ten local artists and several local businesses as sponsors...all while living out of her car. She used every cent that she had made and every dollar that was donated to mix, master, and print her completed CD package.
The lyrics of all 3 songs on the EP are written by Hoxie, who also excecutive produced the whole EP The songs are produced by the major up and coming musical dynamic duo Theron "T-ron" Lewis & Chris Campbell of InvaderZ Music Group, LLC,, Breyone King, and the super producer of G Clef Productions, "GI Joe." KFHox has a video coming out for the song that she wrote to her song produced by "GI Joe," "Screaming to be Free." The video is directed by Rodolfo Duran, assisted by Sha-la Hollis, of DoneRightDigital.com and is expected to be released within the next 2 months. The music video features Tonya Burrell of Ms. Tonya's Catering & Sinful Delights, along with some specially made cupcakes for the shoot, as well as some very special friends of Hoxie, Destiny Vega, Dan Winchester, Natalie Henriquez, & Alicia Mack.
Although this will be the first debut of her own music video, Hoxie can also be seen in Kanye West's controversial music video for "Monster," featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, & Nicki Minaj. Hoxie has IMDb credits for work on shows such as How to Make it in America, Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order SVU, Nurse Jackie, and Blue Bloods, as well as films, including Mr. Popper's Penguins and Man on a Ledge.
She has also done commercial/ print work as a full figured model. Kathryn thinks it's extremely important to promote healthy bodies and lifestyles. She is proud of her full figure and encourages girls and women to be confident in their own skin. Hoxie is a proud lifetime member of Weight Watchers and spent a stint as a leader in the greater New York City area.
Kathryn F. Hoxie has been writing for about 15 years. Most of her writing is lyrics, but she also has expanded into blogging. Her blog, “What Happens While You’re Busy Making Other Plans,” covers all aspects of her life and she hopes to be able to inspire and reach out to others through her blog.
Kathryn considers herself a spiritual person and sings in the Iona College community mass choir at their weekly community mass. She is Iona College alum and is so grateful to be practicing her music ministry. Music has always been her first love and she is currently recording original music, which she is absolutely thrilled to share! Kathryn also sings at New Dimension Christian Center in the south Bronx led by Dr. Reverand Pastor Mcdonald Apreku, where Hoxie is the secretary.
Hoxie, KFHox, does her best to be a positive voice and role model. Everything that she does, she keeps in mind that someone is watching. It helps her make better decisions knowing that her choices will not only impact her, but others, as well. Hoxie's mission in life is to do the most amount of good with her time here on earth.
